Greetings fellow vinyl freaks, freakettes, aspiring collectors and record dealers. Akashic Records returns to the the monthly Topanga Vintage Flea Market on the north side of Pierce College, this Sunday, 5/24, with an amzing assortment of... what ever it is you may be collecting, especially vinyl records!! I'll be in space E152, north of the main aisle. Weather or not forecast - low/mid 70's and sunny! Record shopping Purrfection! General admission is only $3, market opens at 7:30 am (early birds welcome!), with plenty of free parking, live music, food concessions... so many reasons to experience flea market and record shopping nirvana!! Akashic Records will be featuring the usual and unusual eclectic assortment of 800 vinyl records, most music genres - classic and weirdo 70's rock/prog and pop, 80's/90's KROQ groups, 90's/2000's Techno Trip Hop/Pop, post punk, heavy metal, tex-mex/ranchera/boleros/rock n espanol, Middle east/India, straight ahead jazz, jazz/pop vocals, exotica, electronica, soul/funk, hip hop/rap, comedy, C/W honky tonk, movie soundtracks of your life and kids/ Disney LP's. 45's? Oh Yes! N. Soul, 60's rock/garage/sunshine pop, 50's rockObilly and R&B/Doo-Wop in condition ranging from Mint to distressed but playable. Many in pisture sleeves. R&B/vocal group, blues and C/W hillbilly78's too!! Oh yeah, lots of cool cassettes and CD's too! Also featuring LOTS of fresh paper vintage weirdo books and 90's UFO/Sci-Fi/Conspiracy fact magazines, Mad mags from late 50's thru 60's, early 20th century American violin w euro bow in very good condition, interesting wedding (?) kachina, strands of millifori glass trade beads, autographed TV/Movie star 8X10's, original Peter Max "Clan Fub" poster, 1980's Coyote Oldman plains indian flute, late 1960's/early70's dead stock day-glo bumper stickers w topics from sex and drugs, politics (tricky "dick" Nixon, Reagan) to war (pro war, anti Vietnam) and peace to really stupid stuff too, 80's rock group bumper stickers, original 1980's 90's music and movie promo posters including Korn, original, large selection of mint reproduction music posters, music paper and tour programs, 1990's backstage passes for Kiss, Madonna, etc, vintage 90's Playboys in VG+ condition, , Life mags from 40's - 70's, a few 90's band T-shirts, vintage clothes... and sooooo much more! Too much weirdo?! That's why it takes me so friggin long to set up! Ugh! See pictures for details. Confirmed record vendors include John Minor and punk rock Andy also in E row, Travis on the east side non-reserved section, Jason w LP's and toys on the south west side, Richard on the corner of the E row and main aisle, plus a few other record dealers that regularly drop in at this show that I don't know. There's always 5 to 6 curated record dealers at this show who know their music plus lots of vendors w records who may or may not know music. Be sure to check in with Akashic Records for LP vendor updates/whereabouts. All aisles are marked as you walk up the main aisle. And don't forget kids... CASH IS KING! CASH IS SECURE! Swap vendors really, really prefer CASH. And unlike PayPal/Venmo, cash does not censor nor monitor your spending habits! Many vendors are now adding the credit card/app fee and state tax on to your purchase price, just like the gas station. There is an ATM at this event in case you forget.
