Stoople

Terms of Use

Last updated May 2026

By using Stoople you agree to a small handful of common-sense terms. These are written in plain language; if anything is unclear, get in touch.

Use it for what it's for

Stoople exists to help neighbors find and share community sales. Don't post anything that isn't a real sale, sighting, or free pile. Don't use Stoople to advertise businesses, services, illegal items, or anything you wouldn't want on the lawn of a family-friendly neighborhood.

Be honest

Hosts: post the actual address, day, and time of your sale. Sightings: only drop a pin for a sale you've actually seen, and mark the location as approximate.

You own what you post

You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions, and details you post. By posting them on Stoople, you give us permission to display them on Stoople to other visitors.

You're responsible for your sale

Stoople is a directory, not a marketplace. We don't handle payments and we don't moderate transactions. Anything you buy or sell at a sale is between you and the other person — Stoople isn't a party to that exchange.

We can remove listings

We try to keep Stoople friendly. If a listing breaks these terms — spam, fake sales, prohibited items — we'll remove it. If we have to do that more than once for the same account, we may close it.

No guarantees

Stoople is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it running but we don't guarantee uptime, accurate listings, or any particular result from using the site.

Changes

We'll update the “Last updated” date when these terms change. By using Stoople after a change, you agree to the new version.
